Parachute fun in Y6
Year 6 have been carrying out a parachute investigation. Pupils chose which variable they wanted to change eg area of parachute, mass on the parachute, number of ropes, shape of parachute etc and planned their investigation to see if this variable made any difference to the fall speed. We even took 3 readings for each fall of the chute- averaged them and drew a table and a bar chart or line graph.
Foundation Stage Chinese New Year Activities

As well as finding out about Chinese culture the children have had an opportunity to find how different cultures celebrate special times in their own particular way. The children have enjoyed this very much and you may like to follow this up as at the weekend there are a range of activities in Newcastle on Sunday14 th February 2010.
