Year 5 (Mrs Lynch and Mr Dempsey) have been designing and making biscuits. We started by tasting a variety of biscuits available in supermarkets. Everone seemed to love pink wafers but fig rolls didn't go down too well!
Next everyone had the chance to design their own biscuit. Some were very imaginative and surprisingly healthy. Watch out Mr McVitie!!
We have just finished adding the final touches. Watch this space for the tasting feedback.

My daughter Alexa made a fish shaped biscuit called a Shark Bite. It was coloured orange and flavoured with ginger. Alexa tasted (and ate the rest) of her biscuit. This is what she said: "the icing was really strongly sweet and brightly coloured. The actual biscuit was crunchy but soft on the inside."

My biscuits are made with cocoa powder and chocolate
as well as a red iceing. I enjoy making foods such as biscuits, cakes, buns and flapjacks. My parents said
"You're such a good cook Tom,how did you find out
how to cook?"

I made some biscuits with sweets, marshmallows and chocolate, but I accidently put the sweets inside the dough instead of the marshmallows. So when in the oven the sweets melted and stuck to the tray. I made four for my mum, dad, me and my sister. My sister was more interested in the left over marshmallows and no one else had them because they had cling-film on the bottom.
First I put the sweets in the dough, when they were cooked I added melted choclate and a marshmallow on top. They tasted quite nice, but I would not recommend them highly.

I really enjoyed designing and making my buiscuits. I did mine in a flower shape with a boiled sweet in the middle, mint green icing and a peppermint flavouring. They tasted yummy and the boiled sweet made them very crunchy.

I made some biscuits called 'mint heaven'. They tasted minty because I put mint flavouring in the icing and also green colouring in. I put a boiled sweet in the middle of 2 biscuts, a gummy bear in 3 biscuits and I put one square of white chocolate only in 1. We baked them and when they had cooled down I put icing on then took them home and ate them. THEY TASTED GREAT !!!!!!

My biscuit was called mashmallow puffs. I started with normald dough and added: cocoa, fugde & mashmallow. My biscuit had a hole in it because the mashmallow had melted. I enjoyed my biscuit because it was crunchy but very sticky.

MY biscuit was ment to be a road but it did'nt work out because it srank in the oven. I made it out of dough in a rectangle with vanilla ,pink iceing and a sqaure of galexy on top also with sprinkles. My biscuit tasted sweet on the top bit and quite plain on the bottom bit. I enjoed making them.

I made Triple Chocolate Surprise biscuits, the base was crunchy and they were covered in chocolate. My favourite bit was making them, but I enjoyed eating them, they were delicious! They were much better than biscuits from the supermarket! I shared them with my family and Grandma and Grandpa said they never made biscuits at school when they were little.
