Visit by Gateshead Dog Warden, Ian Skinner, to the MSB

Last half term the children thoroughly enjoyed an informative and entertaining visit by Ian Skinner. They learned about responsible dog ownership with the help of an enormous cuddly toy dog!

I wasn't in this class when Ian visited. I like this new school, I love all the rooms and I feel really welcome. I'm really happy about being here. I love my whole class.

I liked it when the dog warden came in. Everyone loved his big dog and he gave us lots of infomation on what to do with our pets.

We all enjoyed it when Ian visited us. He explained to us how important it is to train dogs. When you take your dog out for a walk always use a lead near roads and other animals. If it fouls remember to clean up after it! Ian reminded us not to let our dogs out on bonfire night when fireworks are going off as they may become very frightened.

I remember Ian
had a dog in a box. I learned that you
should walk your dog
on a lead.

I wasn t here when the dog owner came. It looked like fun.

I have a dog at home called Bella. I understood everything Ian taught us. He said .
it is a good idea to have your dog chipped so that it can be identified and returned if it goes missing.

I liked it when Ian came in because he showed us his dog and told us dogs need lots of love and hugs.

I really loved it when Ian visited us. I learned about dogs how to care for them.

I loved the furry dog that Ian Skinner brought in to show us. I learned that dogs need dog food, water and one other thing. Can you guess what? It's OK for them to have biscuits sometimes. My handsome dog has them too!

In art me and my friends have made a christmas window display and me and my friend made santa and I made a christmas tree and half of the snowman and some of the snow.
