Gateshead Dance Festival 2009

70s PARTY 010.jpg

I was very proud to take 19 girls from Years 5 and 6 to take part in the Gateshead Dance Festival at the Sage yesterday. They represented the school brilliantly with their Charleston flapper dance and their excellent behaviour.

The venue was fantastic and the girls were undaunted by the huge stage and danced their socks (and tap shoes!) off! It was very well organised.

Many other Gateshead schools attended and 28 dances were performed that afternoon, with many more performances in the morning and evening sessions.

I would like to thank parents for their support, especially with the costumes and actually taking time out to attend this event. It was much appreciated.

DVD`s of the event are available for around £5. I will be handing out leaflets today for those interested.

The dance festival was great. I really enjoyed it every one danced very well and all the schools danced well.
Thanks Miss Lynch !!

Are you doing that this year? Because we were in maths with Miss Lynch and then you said some of your class were doing it.
