Lands End to John O'Groats - Day 11 26 Jan
Another fast cycling day (with the help of a relative to keep him company for part of today's journey) covering 72 miles in just under 6 hours to reach Fort Augustus.
After leaving Oban, the first 40 or so miles were heavy going, with a strong head wind.
Don was forced to ride through yet more stunning scenery, passing Connel Bridge and Stalker Castle.
At Fort William he met up with a relative to help keep him company on the next 30 or so miles and also used them to provide a wind break helping to speed up the rest of the journey.
Yet more perfect views as they passed Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor pictured from the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge.
There is approximately 140 miles left of his trip, which he hopes to cover in the next 2 days.
Totals so far :
Hours in saddle = 73.0
Distance = 776.5 miles
