A busy half term!
Well, it's been a hectic few weeks and Christmas seems like a long time ago! 4 R/H have managed to cram a lot in to the past 6 weeks. We've been writing descriptions and explanations in literacy, we've worked on fractions and decimals in numeracy and we've also been busy designing and making our own chairs! Well done everyone, we hope you have a lovely week off and we'll see you back in school on the 23rd!

Year 4 Gibside Christmas concert
Year 4 are currently practising some exciting new songs for a Christmas concert in Gibside Chapel on the 16th December. Miss Jewes, a singing coach, is coming in every Thursday morning to help us as some of the songs are pretty tricky! We're really enjoying it though and hope you'll come along on the day to hear us. The money raised from ticket sales will be used by the National Trust to redevelop Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland. A letter will go out with details shortly.

Year 4 - Deputy Head Teacher - Mr Mason -
What the Children say....
Mr Mason is the Deputy Head Teacher. He is very funny at times but also quite strict. He is very good at history, well that's what I think and I'm glad he will still be our Deputy Head in our new school that is being built now and will be open by Easter 2007. He is very smart and sometimes teaches our class.
