Many urban myths were put to rest about the first day at secondary school by Mr Douglas the district bus manager. The children were taken to Hookergate Secondary School in a double decker yellow scholar bus and from there they were taken to St Thomas More. Mr Douglas showed the children where to catch their different buses along the way and at what time they leave. The day was very informative for the children and they got a little taste of what it will be like next year. Some were thinking more of their childhood though, by singing 'the wheels on the bus', rather than their future - much to Lewis' dismay. They have studied the River Usk in Wales and used this knowledge to study our local river- the River Tyne.
